Description: An eight-piece Noritake dressing table set decorated with hand painted classical temple scenes on a cobalt blue ground with pate-sur-pate decoration. There is a hand painted floral band, jewelling and gilding with 22 carat gold. The set comprises a tray (32cm x 26cm), a tazza (11cm diameter, 6.5cm high), a mirror-image pair of candlesticks (13cm high), a mirror-image pair of scent bottles (9cm diameter, 13cm high) and a mirror-image pair of lidded pots(6.5cm diameter, 5cm high). This is a beautiful set that is rare as it is unusual to find all the elements of the decoration mentioned above on a single piece. Circa 1908.
