About Us

I am very proud to own a stunning and very unusual collection of Victorian "Mary Gregory Glass" that was mainly purchased in 2003. Since then I have been collecting various other pieces of Mary Gregory Glass, and now have a vast collection of over 400 pieces in many colours, shapes and sizes. I have also collected other beautiful pieces of Cranberry and Vaseline glass. I have a good collection of Decanters and Drinking Vessels.

Also in 2003, I started to collect Rene Lalique, Daum, Whitefriers, Stuart and Webb Glass. My collecting grew and grew, and suddenly I had no where to put anymore. So in 2004 I had the opportunity of taking on an Antique Centre in Northamptonshire, I had always wanted to have a shop but knew very little about this way of selling. It took a lot of money to start the venture and after nine months of advertising in glossy magazines, the business suffered with the loss of its customers, so reluctantly I closed the shop down.

I have a selection of cabinets filled with a wonderful and tempting selection of Mary Gregory Glass, Decanters Decorative Glass and Drinking Vessels. I have a good collection of Porcelain including a small selection of Sporting Memorabilia. We also stock a good collection of Silverware and a nice selection of Vintage and Contemporary Jewellery. The Antique Centre at Olney also houses cabinets from other dealers, showing a large selection of Noritake, Belleek, Royal Worcester, Doulton, Dresden, Cauldon, Moorcroft, etc., Silverware and Quality Glassware.

I have seen a great increase in customers buying through the Internet, plus the many television programs on collectables and antiques that has brought many small shops to their knees. It is a great shame that this has happened. This trend in shopping online has brought the closure of many small antique shops and centres. Let us try and turn this around, otherwise all our small shops and centres will be gone forever.

I have lived in England most of my life, I now live with my partner in Northamptonshire. Our dream is to have another shop but in a much busier position on a smaller scale and have a tea-room, we would then be able to offer our customers the opportunity to purchase top quality antiques and collectables in beautiful surroundings, with a relaxed atmosphere. We are already seeing a decline in customers in the centres at present, and hope that things will pick up again.
